The Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP) is the State of Ohio's Medicaid disproportionate share program. This site is intended to provide a comprehensive source of information relating to HCAP. HCAP Distribution 2009

HCAP Model Released. On 9/29/2009, ODJFS released the Final HCAP Model for 2009. Assessments are scheduled to be made on October 3, 2009 and
October 27, 2009 while distributions are scheduled to be made on October 22 and November 5, 2009

Cost Report Filings

Medicare Cost Report is due 150 days (5 Months) after the end of the hospital fiscal year.
Ohio Medicaid Cost Reports are due 30 days after the Medicare Cost Report is due.
